Fran Rondon

FRAN RONDÓN was born in La Línea de la Concepción in 1979. At the age of 11 years he was given his first video camera and since then he has not stopped gaining knowledge and training his eye by recording everything he has found useful, becoming through the years, a highly respected professional camera operator in the province of Cadiz.

Fran has enrolled in many cinema workshops organised by the Cultural office of La Linea, thereby expanding his knowledge even further. It wasn’t until the year 2000, when Fran, under the supervision of one of La Línea´s most prestigious workshop professors Mr. Manolo González, become even more interested in the world of entertainment by writing his first script for a short film and gained further knowledge by taking past in the production of five other short films organised by the Cultural office of La Línea.

In 2001 Fran forms part of a new TV station based in La Linea called “Charry TV” which was the old “Selina and Canal 5” stations, taking on the role of camera operator, covering all sorts of social events, including sports and daily news. Climbing up the ladder, several months later he producers a number of local TV shows including live coverage of events.

After this experience, Fran directs and edits his first three short films and presents them to film festivals nationwide via the Internet. His film “Elliott” won acclaim by being the finalist of the third film festival of terror in Alicante (2005).

In March 2007 Fran attends the first casting organised by Gold Productions Studios and soon after he was called to cover an event, happy with his work, Fran has been working for Gold Productions Studios ever since.
