Charity Tandam Skydive

Charity Tandam SkydiveGibraltar will be thrilled to learn that five daring Gibraltarians: Sixto Albert Parody, Mike Boxall, Andrew Rayner, Ivan Vinales and Ms. Jennalee Banda, will be risking death by jumping out of an aircraft at 15,000 feet (fifteen thousand) as they do a Tandam skydive in Sevilla on the 3rd September 2011.

Their aim is to seek awareness and gather as many donations as they can for the “Gibraltar Society for the Visually Impaired (G.S.V.I. )” Registered Charity No 2 which was founded in Gibraltar in 1930 and whose patron is His Excellency Vice Admiral Sir Adrian Johns KCB CBE ADC.

Last year the G.S.V.I. had its first ever Blind Awareness Campaign and has over 95 local members. The society part funds spectacles, talking watches and other much needed equipment for all its members which do not come cheap. The aim of the society is to keep adding new technology to make the lives of their members that extra comfortable. What makes this jump even more dramatic is that Mr Andrew Rayner is himself a visually impaired person and is completely blind. A truly heroic effort for a truly worthy cause.

Parodytur and Gold Productions Studios (Gibraltar) Ltd (www.goldps.com) are pleased to assist in being the proud sponsors for this jump, ensuring that the four men and one lady of the team reach their destination and make their jump safely. ALL monies collected is going directly to the G.S.V.I and all donations are welcome from the general public and other businesses from our community. Sponsorship forms can be collected from the G.S.V.I main office at Bay View House, Line Wall Road, Gibraltar as from Mon to Fri 11am to 1pm and also from the reception of Triay and Triay 28 Irish Town Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm.
